Healthy Life Chemistry Contains Hidden Steroids That Endanger Health

Many go to great lengths to promote their health, from running marathons to going vegan, yoga classes to weight lifting. However, what happens when a person’s sincere efforts, and through no actual fault of their own, endagers the very health that they are attempting to improve? What happens when the very ones we trust with our health violate that trust? A doctor on the east coast recently reported to the FDA findings that 20 different patients, ranging in age from 12 to 75, had experienced this very endangerment and violation of trust, sparking an investigation that could affect many more innocent people. Could you be one of them?

In response to the initial investigation, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a warning that the B vitamin produced by Purity First Health Products under the name Healthy Life Chemistry contains hidden steroids. One, methasterone, is actually a Class III controlled substance. The other, dimethazine, after being metabolized in the body, creates two molecules of a methasterone derivative. Both are steroids commonly used in bodybuilding. Women unsuspectingly taking the “B vitamin” could experience a lowering of voice, thinning or odd hair growth patterns, menstrual cycle stopping, liver damage, blood clots, and muscle pain. In addition, males may experience testicular shrinkage, infertility, and breast enlargement.

Initially, the owner of Purity First Health Products, Candace M. Tripp, chose to ignore the FDA’s recommendation to voluntarily recall the remaining product, destroy whatever was left, and to warn consumers about the potential dangers of her product. However, the FDA subsequently reported finding evidence of another steroid, a synthetic version of testosterone, in two other Healthy Life Chemistry products: Multi-Mineral and Vitamin C capsules. Purity First finally initiated a nationwide recall of all three products.

Unfortunately, herbal and non-botanical products adulterated with prescription drugs is nothing new to the dietary supplement industry. Such a gross violation of trust on the part of these companies has resulted in the endangerment of the health of countless people. It has become apparent that only by holding these people and organizations legally responsible for their actions that change can be brought about. If you feel you may be a victim of Purity First Health Product’s steroid-contaminated vitamin supplements, you have a right to legal representation and fair compensation.
